Film poster analysis

  .BLADE RUNNER ANALYSIS    I think that this film is a sci-fi film due to the use of the colour scheme and the props. The use of the colours like white and green and a little bit of blue suggests that the film is going to be about a powerful man who is trying to save the world  from something evil(maybe aliens). The use of the close up shot of what looks like the main character can imply how he's going to be the main protagonist of the film and the person we see the film through (his perspective) That shot can also communicate his facial expressions to the audience as he looks a little distressed(due to him sweating) but ready to taken on whatever is on his way. He looks powerful. This perfectly enhances the stereotype of men being strong and powerful. Sound analysis: blog tasks

  1) Find a film clip on YouTube that uses sound in an interesting way. Analyse the use of sound, making sure you use the key language we have learned about sound in film: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ClfDIu7C8SM Diegetic and non-diegetic sound Parallel and contrapuntal sound Sound bridges Remember to discuss/analyse all the different types of sound present in the clip: Music Dialogue Voiceover Sound effects Within  this short clip of Stranger Things, there is diegetic sound of the female character breathing, this is significant as it is the only diegetic sound and focuses the attention of the viewers on to her breathing suggesting that she is could be frightened by the situation she is in. Also, the non diegetic sound of the tearing and the beating sound sort of like a heart beat of a living being again focuses the viewers attention on the sound because it was very loud and repetitive.
